Managing Principal
An investment professional with over 30 years of industry experience, Dave is the founder and managing principal of Gemmer. He works with advisors as a portfolio manager and sits on the firm’s investment committee. In addition to his work with clients, Dave has been a guest lecturer at the University of California (Berkeley and Davis), has been a featured speaker at International Association of Financial Planners’ events and frequently addresses local businesses and organizations. He also has served on Charles Schwab’s Institutional Service Group Advisory Board. Dave received an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Santa Clara (1967) and a B.S. in engineering/business from Purdue University (1964).

When not working with clients, he enjoys running, coaching high school softball, spending time with family, and watching horror movies.

Lexie joined Gemmer in 2014 and serves as the firm’s Operations Manager, overseeing client services and operations. She enjoys working directly with clients and researching and resolving complex customer issues. She earned her B.A. in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2013.
Lexie was born and raised in the Bay Area. She has been an avid horseback rider since the young age of 5 and has owned her horse (Kenny) for over 15 years. When away from the office or the barn, Lexie can be found taking her dog (Asta) out on adventures by foot or boat.
